Hot Takes

- What a start to the season. In a rare Week 1 - Rivalry week matchup Grown Man Poop took down Little Spoon. The big difference in this one was Josh Jacobs big 33 points, as the rest of this was a traditional Grown Man Poop "everyone do a some, but nobody will kill it" week. There was also a little bit of irony in Poop using the Pats defense to beat Little Spoon, who rode the pats D's historic fantasy season all the way to The Finals last year.

- Apparantly Fort Dix's robust scoring was not enough to make believers out of voters this week.

Dix has gotten off to fast starts before (he's also gotten off to slow starts), but in his fourth year in the league, this team looks like his best chance to make some noise in the Thunderdome that is our league's* postseason.

- Probably the most unexpected result of Week 1  was the Show Me Your TDs win over Bob Bruton. Bob got exactly what he expected when he paid handsomely for Clyde Edwards-Helaire**, but the rest of his team let him down, led by face of the franchise Michael Thomas. This is still a good roster, and will hopefully start performing to their abilities in Week 3.

- Prime Time is probably wondering what he did to piss off the fantasy gods. Most weeks the 4th highest score in the league gets you a W, just like most weeks you'd be kicking yourself for leaving Cam and his 25 points on the bench. This week, however, Prime got 30 from Aaron Rodgers, and ended up playing the 2nd highest scoring team in the league in Fort Dix.

- In addition to TDs and Poop, Noodle Soup and the Burning Sensations got off to the kinds of starts they wanted to. In Soup's case, he didn't score as many points as he wanted, but he still cruised to a fairly comfortable W, and still looks strong enough on paper to have garnered a 1st place vote in the Coaches Poll.

- Looking ahead to next week, we do have one Rivalry Week matchup between Bob and DBT. However, the most intruiging game to me is between Prime and Poop. Prime scored enough in week 1 to win most of the time, and will look to take out his frustration on the #2 team in the coaches poll.

That's all for this week. Terrible luck to all of you in Week 2.

*The most elite fantasy football league in the world.

**No one cares how much they spent on a guy when he puts up 19 in his NFL debut.
